New World

A beginning of new lives for some, cherished native homeland for others. When Columbus came to the Americas, waves of European settlers followed. The new arrivals found a land of lush forests, and bountiful hunting, fishing, and fowling. 

This collection was designed for the Briscoe Western Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas.  

The Briscoe Western Art Museum preserves and interprets the art, history, and culture of the American West through engaging exhibitions, educational programs, and public events reflective of the region’s rich traditions and shared heritage.  The museum is a new collecting institution building upon a solid collection of art and artifacts that help tell the vast and multifaceted story of the American West.
